The Ukrainian defeated Astra Sharma from Australia in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya made it to the second round of the tournament WTA 125 in Italian Parma.
The Ukrainian beat Astra Sharma from Australia. The tense three-set match lasted more than two and a half hours.
In the first set, the Ukrainian lost with a break 3:5, but managed to win back a set point and win the game. The second set was left to the Australian. In the decisive game, the opponents took their serves until Katarina made a break in the eighth game, after which she brought the match to victory.
Zavatskaya broke a streak of four defeats in a row, which had lasted since the beginning of August. In her previous match at the tournament in Bucharest, the Ukrainian lost to Noma Noha Akuga from Germany. In the second round of the competition in Parma, Katarina will play with the second seeded Ana Bogdan from Romania.
