The Miners conceded three goals in the first half
In the match of the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Youth League Shakhtar U-19 lost devastatingly to his peers from Porto with a score of 1:4. The meeting took place at the Edmund-Plambeck stadium in the German city of Norderstedt.
The intrigue in the match disappeared in the first half, when the Miners conceded three times, and the Portuguese team scored one goal from the penalty spot. After the break, Alexey Belik’s team missed another goal, but were able to score a prestige goal at the end of the game – Oleg Pushkarev scored.
The other Group H match will feature the youth teams of Barcelona and Antwerp. The meeting will take place at 17:00 Kyiv time.
In the next match, Shakhtar U-19 will play with Antwerp, and Porto will play with Barcelona.
Let us remind you that Lviv Rukh U-19 also plays in the UEFA Youth League. The Lviv team will play their home match against Sarajevo in the first round of the tournament in the Polish city of Staleva Wola. The base dates for the matches between Rukh and Sarajevo are October 4 and 25. The winner of the match will play in the next round with the best team of the Famalican (Portugal) – Midtjylland (Denmark) pair.
