RB Leipzig beat Young Boys away in the Champions League

The Bulls scored three goals

RB Leipzig beat on the road Young Boys in the first round match of Group G Champions League – 3:1.

Already in the 3rd minute of the meeting, Mohamed Simakan put the guests ahead. The defender completed the corner kick and scored the first goal in the 2023/24 Champions League. Young Boys came back in the 33rd minute thanks to a precise strike from Meshack Elia.

After the break, Leipzig claimed a penalty, but the referee, after reviewing VAR, did not award a penalty kick. In the middle of the second half, the referees did not count the goal of visiting forward Benjamin Sheshko due to offside.
