The new Champions League season will begin and the first day will feature eight matches; check the details of the continental competition
The 2023/24 Champions League starts this Tuesday, the 19th, with eight games on the first day of the group stage. The competition has 32 teams competing, divided into eight groups with four teams each.
The two best teams in each group advance to the round of 16 of the European club competition. The third-placed teams go to the Europa League playoffs. The bottom teams are eliminated and will have no chance in another tournament.
This will be the last edition in this format. The 2024/25 season will feature 36 teams from the first phase. UEFA also approved the move to the Europa League and Conference League.

The first phase of the Champions League will be played from September 19th to December 13th. The draw for the round of 16 will be on December 18th, while the knockout phase begins on February 13th.
