Mancunians will pay up to 17 million euros
Manchester United approved the transfer of the defender Tyrell Malasia from Feyenoord.
The 22-year-old Dutch left-back will be paid a guaranteed €15m at Old Trafford. Another two million could be paid out as bonuses.
Tyrell was negotiated by Lyon, who offered Feyenoord 15 million including bonuses.
United have yet to agree on the terms of a personal contract with the Rotterdam club graduate.
For the Feyenoord first team, Malasia played 136 matches in which he scored four goals and gave 10 assists.
Tyrell made his debut for the Dutch national team in September last year and managed to make five appearances for the country’s senior team.
Manchester United are also close to signing another Dutchman, Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, whose €65m move has already been agreed with the Catalan giants.
In the new season, Erik ten Hag’s team will play in the group stage of the Europa League.
