Seleznev: There’s no point in talking about the championship. Dnepr-1 will fight for top 3

The ex-Dnepr forward now works in the structure of Dnepr-1 and is ready to share his experience with young players

Evgeny Seleznevex-forward Shakhtar And Dnieperis now taking his first steps as a functionary SK Dnepr-1. He shared his opinion about the prospects of both the club this season and individual players.

“I think it’s not worth talking about the championship, if we take it objectively. We will fight for the top 3.”

“I am glad to be in the structure of Dnepr-1. Our footballers are good and promising. Look at the same Valentin Rubchinsky, how the guy has grown and is trying.”

“I believe in Bogdan Lednev. He has very good data, despite the injury he suffered. But I’m sure that in Dnepr-1 he will find his game.”

“Sanya Filippov can’t score yet, he can’t find his chance, the goals aren’t coming, but I’m sure this is temporary. He’s a good football player.”

“I am ready to help everyone. Perhaps this is my task. When I was a football player, they also helped me and asked me to pass on my experience to the younger ones.”

38-year-old Evgeniy Seleznev played for Shakhtar, Dnepr, Kolos and Minaj in Ukraine. Officially retired this year. Scored 117 goals in the UPL.

Dnepr-1, which had previously been eliminated from three European Cup qualifications in a row and parted ways with head coach Alexander Kucher, scored 6 points in five matches and ranks 12th in the UPL table. On September 24, Yuri Maximov’s team will compete against Zarya.
