Liverpool comes from behind, but beats LASK in their Europa League debut

With the first half off, Liverpool changed their stance in the second half and avoided a stumble in their Europa League debut; Salah, Díaz and Núñez scored for the Reds

O Liverpool won the LASK, from Austria, 3-1 this Thursday, 21st, in the first round of Group E of the Europa League. Turning around, the Reds confirmed their triumph with goals from Salah, Luis Diaz It is Darwin Núñez. Flecker scored for the Austrians at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz.

With the result, the England team started the continental competition with three points for the group, which still has Toulouse (France) and Saint-Gilloise (Belgium). The Austrian team ended the round without scoring.

The teams return to the field to compete in the second round of Group E on October 5th, at 4pm (Brasília time). Lask will visit Toulouse, at the Municipal stadium, while Liverpool will host Saint-Gilloise, at Anfield.

The game

With an apathetic first half from Liverpool, Lask went into the break with the lead on the scoreboard. The Austrian team opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the game, with a goal from right-back Flecker, with a shot from inside the area: 1-0.

Without being able to create, the English team did little to scare the home team in the opening half. The second stage, however, was totally different for the team led by Jürgen Klopp.

In the 10th minute, Luis Díaz was fouled inside the area and the penalty was awarded. Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez took the penalty and wasted no time in tying the match: 1-1. Seven minutes later, Díaz put Liverpool ahead on the scoreboard for the first time, with a shot from inside the area. Reds comeback: 1 to 2. At 42, Salah shot from inside the area and increased: 3 to 1.
