The game
With an apathetic first half from Liverpool, Lask went into the break with the lead on the scoreboard. The Austrian team opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the game, with a goal from right-back Flecker, with a shot from inside the area: 1-0.
Without being able to create, the English team did little to scare the home team in the opening half. The second stage, however, was totally different for the team led by Jürgen Klopp.
In the 10th minute, Luis Díaz was fouled inside the area and the penalty was awarded. Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez took the penalty and wasted no time in tying the match: 1-1.
