Athletistic / Football. Krasnodar head coach Vladimir Ivich spoke about his impressions of Russia. He admitted to being pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the streets.

“Five non-football things that surprised you about Russia? First of all, the size of the country! I knew Russia was big, but after all our traveling for away matches… It’s simply amazing! I think I still haven’t even seen 20-30% of the country.

Secondly, I have never been to a country where the streets were so clean! And it doesn’t matter if you are in Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Voronezh or Nizhny Novgorod. Everywhere is very clean! It’s nice to see that. It’s part of the culture.

Thirdly, I was impressed with Krasnodar as a club. Stadium, academy, base, surrounding grounds, all infrastructure. This surprised me.

Ivic spoke about the interest of European clubs in Krasnodar players

Fourth, the Russian language. I started learning it and noticed a lot of similarities with Serbian. They are not the same, but since we are Slavs, it is not difficult for us to understand each other, even if someone speaks with mistakes. I think I can understand more than 80% of speech in Russian.

Fifth, I am surprised by the traffic jam situation. So many cars – it’s crazy! I’m not even talking about megacities like Moscow. In Krasnodar you spend a lot of time on the road. There are big traffic jams everywhere. You won’t see this in other countries in small towns,” Sport-Express quotes Ivic.
