The match was interrupted after fans threw smoke bombs at the field
Match Ajax With Feyenoord in the sixth round Eredivisie will finish the game without spectators on September 27.
Let us remember that on September 24, during the All-Netherlands derby, known as “De Klassiker”, Ajax lost to Feyenoord at home with a score of 0:3. Soon the fight was interrupted. Fans threw smoke bombs and fireworks at the lawn, and also rioted in the stands and around the stadium.
Chief referee Serdar Gözübüyük first interrupted the match for a while, and at the beginning of the second half he finally led the teams off the field.
Immediately after the match, Ajax fired their sporting director Sven Mislintat. The club’s management apologized for the dangerous situation that developed in the stands.
The Amsterdam team had a disastrous start to the season: they did not qualify for the Champions League, and in four matches of the current championship they scored only 5 points and are in 14th place. Feyenoord are in fourth place with 11 points.
