Promoter Bob Arum stated that the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou poses a big threat to the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
“This is a very dangerous fight. [для Фьюри]. Ngannou hits harder than Chisora or White. When you fight a puncher like that who is not in perfect shape, then you can get knocked out.”
“Ngannou is an incredible puncher, possibly the best puncher in UFC history. It’s going to be a really interesting fight.”
The Fury-Ngannou fight will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The WBC granted Tyson special permission to fight the former UFC champion.
The Riyadh championship belt will be at stake in the Fury-Ngannou fight. The British promoter Frank Warren presented a special trophy at a joint press conference.
Fury beat Dereck Chisora by TKO in his last fight in December 2022. Ngannou will hold his first fight under boxing rules. The French-Cameroonian fighter defeated Cyril Gan at UFC 270 in January 2022 in his last MMA fight.
