The Ukrainian Football Association did not understand the motives for the strange decision from the European officials.

The Ukrainian Football Association disagreed with UEFA’s decision to allow Russian under-17 teams to compete.

The organization issued a press release in which it announced that Ukrainian teams will boycott tournaments with the participation of representatives of a terrorist country. The UAF also called on other countries to join the boycott.

“UAF strongly condemns UEFA’s decision today to reinstate U-17 teams from the Russian Federation in international competitions.

The Ukrainian Football Association insists on keeping the previous decisions of UEFA and FIFA to prevent all Russian teams from participating in international competitions under the auspices of these organizations.

The UAF confirms that it will not participate in any competitions involving Russian teams and appealed to other UEFA member associations with a request to boycott possible matches involving teams from the Russian Federation, subject to their admission.

We are convinced that the adoption of such decisions regarding the gradual return of teams from the Russian Federation to participation in competitions in the midst of military operations conducted by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is groundless and tolerant of aggressive policy of Russia.

We strongly urge UEFA to reconsider this decision and uphold the previous decision to completely ban any teams from the Russian Federation from participating in international competitions,” the UAF statement said.

We remind you that earlier the England team announced a boycott of matches with the participation of Russians.
