Former captain of the Ukrainian national football team Anatoly Tymoshchuk has been stripped of the title of honorary citizen of Lutsk. This decision was taken by the local city council.
The reason does not change – Tymoshchuk refuses to leave the club from the aggressor’s country – Zenit, where he works as an assistant coach.
In addition, he ignores the war of Putin’s horde against the Ukrainian citizens, and until now has not made a public statement about it.
“At a time when Ukraine is suffering from Russia’s military aggression, Anatoly Tymoshchuk has not made a public statement about it and has not stopped his cooperation with the football club of the aggressor country. With such a conscious choice, he continues working for the occupier and desecrating the high title of Honorary Citizen city of Lutsk, ”the statement said.
