“Very happy to be able to achieve such an expressive milestone like this. It’s the dream of any boy who is passionate about football to be able to play in Europe and win. When I received the invitation to come and work here, I didn’t think twice, but I also knew the challenges of being away from my family, the cold, food and adapting to a different culture. Today, I am very happy to be fully adapted, being able to play good football and being able to reach a milestone like this”, said the player.

In addition to Botafogo, Erick played for other teams in Rio de Janeiro, including América. In the current season, Erick Brendon has played 22 games for Östersunds FK. The Brazilian highlighted that he is adapted to Swedish football and that he is not thinking about returning to Brazil at the moment.

“I am well adapted to football here in Sweden, also to the country, a culture very different from ours in Brazil. Here I have a very good quality of life, the country provides that. I have no intention of returning to Brazilian football at the moment, I hope to be able to stay here for a few more years, continue growing, reaching great numbers and, who knows, in a while, I will be able to return to play in Brazil”, concluded.
