Agent Mladen Ratkovica, representing the interests of the Sochi defender Vani Drkusic told how the footballer dealt with the situation in which the Russian club did not let him go to French Nantes.
In August, Nantes made an official offer to Sochi to acquire the 23-year-old Slovenian, but it did not suit the Russian club.
— Vanya was stressed at first, but he remains a professional. He is now focused on his role in Sochi. Drkusic understands that he had good options for him, but it didn’t work out. He has forgotten about this situation and will only think about Sochi until another interesting opportunity presents itself,” RB Sport quotes Ratkovits.
This season, Drkusic has made eight appearances for Sochi in all competitions and scored one goal.
The Slovenian’s contract with the Russian club runs until June 30, 2025. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the value of the player’s transfer at 3 million euros.
