The fourth summer rookie of the UPL club
Defender Vasily Kurko continue his career in Verese. The 27-year-old signed a one-year contract with the UPL club.
Kurko’s previous club was Left Bank, which suspended the activities of the professional team. Last season, the defender scored two goals in 19 matches in the Second League.
Previously, Kurko played for the duplicate teams of Chernomorets and Metallist, the Odessa Zhemchuzhina, Volyn and Prykarpattya.
Kurko became Veres’ fourth summer rookie. Earlier, the club from Rivne signed goalkeeper Arseniy Korkodym, defenders Roman Gagun and Nikolai Kvasny.
Veres also extended contracts with defenders Roman Miroshnik and Artem Danilyuk, forward Mikhail Sergiychuk.
Veres finished ninth in the Premier League last season, which was brought to an early end due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The start of the new championship is tentatively scheduled for August 20.
