Confident victory for Plekhanov’s team
Championship Superleague Favbet season 2023/24 started in Kyiv. In the opening match Zaporozhye won over Krivbass – 83:61.
The Cossacks quickly managed to organize an 11-point lead. At the end of the first quarter, their advantage was +18, but the opponents managed to partially level the situation.
However, Valery Plekhanov’s team continued to increase their advantage and went into the big break with a score of 29:27. In the third quarter, Zaporozhye increased the advantage to 30 points, after which the coach actively used rotation, and Krivbass managed to slightly reduce the gap, avoiding defeat.
The best players of the match were Vitaly Bykov, who scored 22 points, and Alexander Sizov, who scored a double-double.
Budivelnik and Dnepr are playing in the second match of the opening day.
Tomorrow, October 4, Zaporozhye will compete with Dnepr, and Krivbass will compete with the BIPA-Team team of the Odessa region.
