Abascal explained ban on obscene language in Spartak

Spartak Moscow’s new head coach Guillermo Abascal said he banned red-white players from using obscene words so as not to spoil the mood in the team.

Abascal replaced Italian Paolo Vanoli in June.

Why do you prohibit players from swearing in training?

“I did this for me. There are certain words that can negatively affect the atmosphere. We want to replace those words with more positive ones so they create the right atmosphere,” Abascal told a news conference.

– You have a nice haircut. Ready to cut your hair if Spartak wins the Super Bowl?

– Not. There are very few people with red hair. If I shave them off and the black ones grow back instead, it will be a disaster.

“Spartak” in the match for the Russian Super Cup will play against the “Zenith” of St. Petersburg. The match will take place on July 9 in St. Petersburg.
