The International Football Federation plans to follow UEFA’s example and make an annoying decision.

A bad example is contagious. FIFA and UEFA have proven this once again through their actions. The International Football Federation, following the example of its European colleagues, wants to accept Russian U-17 teams in international competitions.

According to Sky News, a decision to reduce restrictions on representatives of the aggressor country could be made after UEFA allowed the Russian U-17 teams to return to international performances, but without the flag, anthem and in neutral territory.

FIFA sees the U-17 European Championship as a qualifying tournament for the World Cup, giving the organization justification for Russia’s return.

The Russians can no longer qualify for the men’s world championship, but they can still qualify for the women’s world championship, which will take place next year. The final decision could be made today, October 4, at a meeting of the FIFA Council.

We remind you that the decision to accept the Russian U-17 national teams in international competitions from UEFA caused strong criticism. 11 countries announced a boycott of matches against the aggressor country.
