Dnieper defeated Zaporozhye in the Kyiv bubble match Super League 2023/24 — 78:69.
The first quarter passed in an equal fight, but then the Dnipro team took over the advantage. The teams went into the big break with a +13 advantage in favor of Vladimir Koval’s team.
Dnepr increased its lead to 16 points, after which the Cossacks managed to seize the initiative. In the last quarter, Valery Plekhanov’s team managed to reduce the gap to five points. However, the Dnieper team responded with three three-pointers in a row, after which they brought the match to victory.
The MVP of the match was Sergei Zagreb, who scored a double-double (15 points and 10 rebounds). For the Cossacks, Roman Morozov and Dmitry Lipovtsev scored 14 points each.
Dnepr goes without losses in the Super League, having won the second match. Zaporozhye suffered its first defeat.
In the next match, Koval’s team will play against BIPA – Team of the Odessa region on October 5. The Cossacks finished their performances in the first Kiev bubble.
