Furacão and the European team release details of the agreement to recruit and train players in South America, which will be valid until the end of 2028
O Athletico Paranaense entered into a partnership with the Ajaxfrom the Netherlandswith the aim of discovering and training new football talents in South America. The agreement between the two teams lasts for five years, with an option to extend it for another five seasons.
Furacão’s idea is to use Ajax’s learning methods for its base, opening a path to Europe. The Dutch have a specific focus on Brazil, in the selection and development of new athletes. To achieve this, the two teams will collaborate to strengthen the scouting methodology and work.
Second Alexandre Mattosthe first visit made to Amsterdam happened in February this year. Seven months later, the teams have aligned details on the development of players, coaches and technical staff. “We are developing a partnership to exchange knowledge, methodology, processes, base category, recruitment and scouting. Much honor to everyone and certainty that in the medium to long term informing fruits will emerge from this project”said the executive, in conversation with “GE”.
