Royal contract for a royal club: Real Madrid get the most from a title sponsor

PSG confidently holds the second line

Yesterday, Paris Saint-Germain unveiled the new jersey for the 2022/2023 season. In addition to the reference to the 2013/2014 kit, many have noticed the change in the title sponsor of the Parisian club: now Qatar Airways will work with PSG instead of Accor Live Limitless, which has been a sponsor for the past three seasons. At the same time, the amount of the sponsorship agreement has not changed – 65 million euros per season.

The new contract allowed PSG to retain second place in a kind of ranking of title sponsors. According to this indicator, the Parisians are second only to Real Madrid, whose contract with Emirates brings the club 70 million euros per season. In third place is Barcelona with a $57.5 million contract from Spotify. For 55 million euros, two Manchesters earn: City – from Etihad Airways, United – from TeamViewer.

Judging by the TOP-10 of the rating, then the aviation companies from the Middle East – Etihad Airways, Emirates and Qatar Airways – will pay the world’s leading clubs 237.5 million euros for one season (the first also has a contract for 47.5 million euros with Arsenal) . And yes, Bayern and Juventus, which close the TOP 10, receive 45 million euros each from title sponsors.
