Ukraine’s Yarmolenko’s own goal in the World Cup play-off final 22 was copied in Basel

The Wales national team Twitter account announced that the goal that took the national team to the World Cup in Qatar was scored by a Welshman Gareth Bale not ukrainian Andrei Yarmolenko .

Wales beat Ukraine by a minimum scoreline in the play-off final for the right to qualify for the World Cup. The only goal was scored in the 34th minute. Bale took a free kick, the ball hit Yarmolenko’s head, after which he ended up in the goal.
