The Ukrainian became third in scoring for the Celtics
Ukrainian defender Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk in his first pre-season match for Boston Celtics against New York Knicks scored 15 points.
The Ukrainian received 25 minutes on the court, was accurate both times when taking free throws, and converted both three-point attempts. He made three of seven shots from behind the arc. In addition, Svyatoslav has three rebounds and one assist.
Mikhailiuk was third in scoring on his team, behind only Payton Pritchard (21) and Delano Benton (20).
The Celtics lost with a score of 107:114. Boston’s next match will be against Philadelphia on Thursday night, October 12.
On September 1, the Celtics officially introduced Mykhailiuk as their new player. It was reported that Svyatoslav would sign a one-year agreement.
The new NBA season starts on the night of October 24-25.
