Fluminense defender, Nino was cut from the Brazilian team after suffering an injury during training in Montevideo, Uruguay
The CBF confirmed that the defender Nino was reevaluated by the medical committee and was removed from the Brazilian Team after suffering a sprain in his left knee during training last Saturday, 14th. The defender remains undergoing treatment in concentration and returns to the Fluminense this Monday to continue the recovery process at Tricolor.
The coach Fernando Diniz called the defender Adryelsonof Botafogoto make up the Brazilian delegation for the duel against Uruguay, next Tuesday, in the fourth round of the South American Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Despite the recall, Nino’s injury is not serious. The sprain in his left knee will not require surgical intervention, and the defender will undergo treatment to be available for Flu in the Libertadores final, against Boca Juniorson October 4th, at Maracanã.
