Athletistic / Football. Spartak Subotica head coach Alexander Kerzhakov spoke about his salary at the Serbian club.

“My salary in Spartak is several times lower than in Nizhny Novgorod. It seems to me that now the coaches of the Second Russian League receive as much. Perhaps in the lower half of the first – I don’t know what the salaries are right here right now.

As for football players, there are several players on our team who are starters and receive less than players in the Media League. This surprised me when I arrived here. But it also depends on the level of the club. But they pay everything on time and you have a good opportunity to show off. Plus, everything happens quickly – if you play in a small team for several seasons, this is an indicator that you are unlikely to be promoted.

In Cyprus, my salary was around $2,000 a month. It’s about the same here,” Kerzhakov said, as quoted by Sport-Express.

Kerzhakov took charge of Serbian Spartak on June 17. The contract with the 40-year-old specialist was signed for one year with the possibility of extension for another season.

Last season, Spartak took 10th place in the Serbian Championship standings. The team was managed by Milan Milanovic.
