Athletistic / Football. Famous British sports journalist Piers Morgan once again spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance to Al-Nasr. In 2023, the 38-year-old played a total of 42 matches and scored 46 goals for the Saudi club and the Portuguese national team.
“Ronaldo would have been the ‘problem’ at Manchester United. It is now clear that the club should have sacked ten Hags and made Cristiano captain,” Morgan wrote on his social media page.
In October 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo was not included in the squad for the Premier League match with Chelsea due to his demonstrative departure towards the dressing room before the final whistle of the match with Tottenham Hotspur. After that, the Portuguese was fined, missed one match, but then returned to the team and even led one of the matches.
However, a few weeks later, Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan was published, in which the Portuguese criticized Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag, the club management as well as some teammates.
In November, it became known that the English club and the Portuguese club had agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement between the parties. And already in December, Cristiano reached an agreement with Al-Nasr.
