Hearn: Joshua’s fight with Wilder won’t happen until March or April. But AJ wants to fight

The Briton plans to return to the ring in December-January

Eddie Hearnpromoter of the ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshuaspoke about the Briton’s immediate plans and a possible fight with Deontay Wilder in 2024.

“Joshua really wants [драться]. There’s a lot going on with the IBF situation. We’ll have to see what happens. I think he’s going to fight in December or January.”

“The Wilder fight won’t actually happen until March or April at the latest. But he wants to fight. “Anthony wants to get back to camp and has asked us to try and get him a fight in December, we’ll see if it’s January.”

Previously, Hearn reported that all conditions between Joshua and Wilder’s teams had been agreed upon, all that remained was to determine the location of the fight. The promoter is ready to consider other countries besides Saudi Arabia. Hearn later noted that agreement on a date could not be reached.

Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Deontay’s last opponent was also Helenius – the American won by knockout in the first round.
