At least two people died Monday evening in Brussels following a shooting in the street, reports RTFB citing a police press release.
According to the first known data, shots were fired around 7:15 p.m. (local time). Numerous emergency services arrived on site. No suspects have yet been arrested.
Photos circulating on social media show a man wearing a fluorescent orange jacket and white helmet, holding a gun, getting on a scooter and leaving the scene of the crime.
The Brussels public prosecutor’s office confirmed that the possible perpetrators are still being sought.
According to Sky Sports journalist Rob Harris, the incident occurred before the Belgian national team’s soccer match against Sweden in the Euro 2024 qualifying round. Both victims were wearing soccer jerseys. the Swedish national team.
