According to the newspaper ‘Mirror’, two people, who were wearing Swedish national team shirts, were murdered in Brussels, a few kilometers from the King Baudouin Stadium.

The players from Sweden and Belgium found out about what happened at halftime. Therefore, none of the teams returned to the field after the end of the indicated 15 minutes. Afterwards, it was informed that the match was suspended and, in common agreement between the teams, the athletes themselves made the decision not to return to compete in the second stage.

As a result, all fans present at the stadium had to remain in the same place, avoiding mass exits throughout the city of Brussels. Thus, both Sweden and Belgium expressed themselves on their social media profiles, indicating that the match was suspended and asking fans not to leave the King Baudouin Stadium before further notice.

The first half of the match went smoothly and ended in a draw. Sweden, even playing away from home, took the lead with a goal from Viktor Gyokeresbut Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian team’s top scorer, left everything the same by converting a penalty. The game was officially suspended 30 minutes after the half-time whistle.

So far, according to ‘G1’, the country has raised its terrorism alert to the highest possible level. A man called Abdesalem Al Guilani published a video on the networks and claimed to be the perpetrator of the murders, claiming to belong to the Islamic State.
