Athletistic / Football. Argentine citizen Alex Sherman, who has been living in Israel in recent years, turned to Albiceleste captain Lionel Messi for help in finding his son kidnapped by Hamas. Sherman posted a video message on social media to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“My son Ron, an Israeli army soldier of Argentine nationality, was kidnapped in Gaza by Hamas. I know you probably have thousands of requests for help from people. And I’m not sure if my video will produce a result, if you see it, but as a father, I am doing everything in my power right now to bring my son home.
I know a few words from you can do wonders. For Ron, my son, and for the Argentinians kidnapped by Hamas. I do what I can now. I hope my words reach your ears. We love and admire you,” Sherman said in the Spanish edition of Marca.
On October 7, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict intensified. For this reason, all sporting and public events in Israel have been canceled. Later, martial law was declared in the country and a humanitarian catastrophe could begin in Gaza due to the fighting.
