Turin midfielderJuventus » Nicolo Fagioli will be disqualified for 7 to 8 months for betting on football matches, reports Sport Italia.
Earlier it became known that the 22-year-old footballer was under investigation for illegal betting. Under Italian law, he risks disqualification of up to three years, as well as a fine of 25,000 euros.
According to the source, Fagioli admitted his guilt during the last interrogation at the prosecutor’s office and accepted the charges. For cooperating with the investigation, he should receive a less severe sanction in the form of a 7-8 month travel ban.
This season, Fagioli has made six appearances for Juventus in the Italian league and provided one assist.
