The decision is final, the Glazer family was informed of this last week
Qatari sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani does not intend to return to purchase negotiations Manchester United.
Sources close to the sheikh say that his decision to withdraw from the negotiation process is final and there are no plans to change this. Al Thani informed the owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, about the termination of participation in the auction last week.
Sheikh Jassim was reported to have offered almost double the club’s market value of $3.5 billion for Manchester United shares. Qatari investors were also ready to make an additional investment in the English Premier League club in the amount of $1.5 billion.
British businessman Jim Ratcliffe remained the only bidder. The chief executive of chemicals group Ineos is offering £1.3bn for a 25% stake in Manchester United.
The Red Devils are in 10th place in the Premier League with 12 points. In the next match, Erik ten Hag’s team will play away at Sheffield on October 21.
