Akuyi: I respect Dalakyan very much for the fact that in such a difficult time for his country he will come to Japan to defend the title

The fight will take place on November 15

Japanese boxer Seyigo Akuyi commented on the future fight against the Ukrainian WBA world bantamweight champion Artem Dalakyan.

“My training camp is going well. I’m getting ready to show my best version. I really respect Dalakyan for the fact that in such a difficult time for his country he will come to Japan to defend the title.

Dalakyan is a very strong boxer. “I’m preparing for any scenario: if the fight goes all 12 rounds or if I win by knockout,” said the Japanese.

Let us remind you that the date and location of the fight between Ukrainian and Japanese boxers became known earlier. The fight will take place on November 15, 2023 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo.

Dalakyan fought his last fight in January 2023, when he defeated Costa Rican David Jimenez and defended his championship belt. The fight lasted all 12 rounds, but the judges gave the victory to the Ukrainian by unanimous decision.
