Brentford coach Frank: Yarmolyuk’s debut in the Premier League is close. I like him

So far, the Ukrainian has played for the first team of the Bees only in the English League Cup

Head coach Brentford Thomas Frank shared his opinion about the young midfielder Egor Yarmolyuk. The manager believes that the Ukrainian will make his debut in the near future English Premier League.

“Yarmolyuk’s debut in the Premier League? He’s close. Yarmolyuk was in good form when we started pre-season, but he was still gaining momentum in terms of rhythm and decision-making. I saw a lot of good and positive actions from him and he caught my attention,” Frank said.

“Yarmolyuk is number eight. He is very good at pressing and his technical ability is good in terms of passing. I like him. In several matches I thought about bringing him on as a substitute, but for some reason it didn’t happen.”

In the summer, Yarmolyuk extended his contract with Brentford until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for another season. The midfielder was previously promoted to the Bees’ first team.

In November 2022, Yarmolyuk made his debut for the Bees first team, coming on as a substitute in the English League Cup round of 16 match against Gillingham.

This season, Egor was in Brentford’s squad for eight Premier League matches, but did not take the field. The midfielder received playing time in the English League Cup match against Newport.

Brentford are in 15th place in the English Championship. Frank’s team will play their next match against Burnley on October 21.
