Lyon announced an extension Loan of winger Shakhtar Tete. The Brazilian will play for the French team until June 30, 2023.
Weavers have signed a new deal with Tete, taking advantage of new FIFA rules that allow legionnaires from Ukrainian clubs to go on loan until the summer of 2023.
Earlier it was reported that Lyon was considering buying out Tete’s contract and signing a five-year deal with the Brazilian. Clubs from Portugal and England also showed interest in the winger.
Tete played for Lyon on loan in the second half of last season. The winger has scored two goals and provided five assists in 11 matches for the French team.
Tete’s contract with Shakhtar is valid until the end of 2023. Next summer, he will be able to sign a preliminary agreement with another club.

Also today, Shakhtar released winger Pedrinho on loan to Atlético Mineiro, while Pitmen’s midfielder Marcos Antonio moved to Lazio.
Lyon finished eighth in Ligue 1 and were left without European competition. Shakhtar will play in the group stage of the Champions League.
