UEFA postponed the Maccabi-Zarya match to November – TaToTake

The governing body granted the request of the Israeli club, and the Lugansk team will now have to postpone the match with Kolos to the spring

According to TaToTake, UEFA has decided to postpone the match Zari against Maccabi Tel Aviv V Conference League on November 25th.

The match of the third round of the group stage was supposed to take place in Tel Aviv on October 26. Due to military events in Israel, official sporting events that were supposed to take place in this country in the coming weeks have been canceled en masse.

Initially, Maccabi, together with the Israeli Football Association, made a request to UEFA to postpone the home match against Zorya.

The Lugansk club responded with an official statement in which they called any postponement “unacceptable” and offered their opponents an alternative – to exchange home matches or help Maccabi organize their home match at the Lublin Arena. The problem is Zarya’s oversaturated autumn schedule, in which there were no free “windows”.

The governing body, apparently, did not listen to the arguments of the Ukrainian side. The expected date for the rescheduled Conference League match is November 26. On this day, Lugansk’s schedule includes an away UPL match against Kolos.

Now the fight with Kolos will almost certainly have to be postponed until the spring. In addition to him, next year Zorya will definitely play two other postponed matches of the Ukrainian championship – against Shakhtar and Dynamo.

Additionally, it is reported that if it is impossible to play on November 25 in Tel Aviv, the meeting place will be determined by Maccabi.

On November 9, a fourth round meeting between Valery Kriventsov’s team and the Israelis is planned in Lublin. The group round of the LC for Zarya will end on December 14th. On the ninth day of the same month, the Lugansk team will play in the last round of the first round of the UPL.
