Athletistic / Football. Krasnodar defender Vitor Tormena has explained why he joined the Bulls from Portuguese side Braga in the summer transfer window. The Brazilian could have ended up at Spartak Moscow, but refused such a move.

“As a team, we do not pay attention to rumors about Ivic’s possible departure to Spartak. Everyone wants the coach to stay with us, but everyone also understands that different things happen in the football. We hope that the coach will stay in Krasnodar to achieve the main goal.

Why didn’t Spartak’s interest in me end with a transfer to this club? It seems to me that the whole point is how much Krasnodar wanted me, how much they told me about the project in detail. There were definitely contacts with Spartak, but I felt that I would be happier in Krasnodar. This club showed that it really needed me. Therefore, I easily accepted this particular offer,” Tormena said, as quoted by Metaratings.ru.

The footballer was born in Brazil, graduated from Sao Paulo, but never played a single match for the team. In 2017, the footballer moved to Portugal, where he started playing in the Segunda Division for Porto B.

During the 2018/2019 season he played on loan for Portimonense. Later the player moved to Braga.
