Terlyuga and Talibov were included in the Ukrainian national team’s entry for the 2023 World Karate Championship

The competition starts in Budapest on October 24

The composition has become known Ukrainian national team on World Karate Championship 2023which will take place in Budapest.

The application included a medalist of the 2023 Olympic Games Angelica Terlyuga. Also in the blue-yellow team is the winner of the 2023 season of the Premier Karate League Rizvan Talibov. The application also included the Tokyo 2020 medalist Stanislav Gorunawho will participate in team competitions.

Composition of the Ukrainian karate team

Kumite (men): Nikita Filippov (up to 60 kg), Denis Kopytko (up to 67 kg), Andrey Zaplitny (up to 75 kg), Valery Chebotar (up to 84 kg), Rizvan Talibov (over 84 kg) + Valery Chebotar, Stanislav Goruna, Valery Sonnykh, Rizvan Talibov, Andrey Toroshanko, Konstantin Tsymbal, Andrey Zaplitny (all in team competitions).

Kumite (women): Ekaterina Krivaya (up to 50 kg), Anzhelika Terlyuga (up to 55 kg), Anita Seregina (up to 61 kg), Galina Melnik (up to 68 kg), Anastasia Stepashko (over 68 kg) + Galina Melnik, Alexandra Sholokhova, Elina Selemeneva, Anna Vashchyshyn (all in team competitions).

Kota (men and women): Yaroslav Fedorov and Galina Zaporozhenko.

The 2023 World Championships in Budapest start on October 24. The final matches begin on October 28.
