These demands have already been expressed by 16 regional football associations of Ukraine
Vinnytsia Regional Football Association supported the demand for resignation Anatoly Demyanenko from the post of first vice president Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) in connection with a gross violation of the organization’s Charter.
Earlier, the governing football bodies of the Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Transcarpathian regions made similar appeals. The reason for such drastic decisions was a letter from the UAF signed by Demyanenko, which noted that regional members of the association are prohibited from holding elections to governing bodies during martial law.
Also, the Vinnytsia UAF, following the Kyiv Union of Football Associations, demands the appointment of an acting general secretary of the UAF.
Another point in the appeal of representatives of the football authorities of the Vinnytsia region is an independent audit of “legal and consulting services” worth, presumably, about 20 million hryvnia, which the UAF allegedly used to defend UAF President Andrei Pavelko and the Association General Secretary Yuri Zapisotsky in court.
For the above purposes, a call is made to urgently convene a meeting of the UAF Executive Committee. According to available information, at least 16 regional football associations of Ukraine are united in these requirements.
Let us remind you that in May the Pechersky Court of the city of Kiev extended Pavelko’s suspension from the post of president of the UAF until July 9, 2023, and in early August extended the decision for a new period – two months, until October 2. The court also extended the investigation period in the case of the head of the UAF and the organization’s secretary general, Yuri Zapisotsky, until November 23, 2023.
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lvov recently extended the detention of the President of the Ukrainian Football Association for 48 days. The head of the UAF will remain in pre-trial detention until November 23 inclusive.
In mid-June, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Lvov imprisoned Pavelko in a pre-trial detention center for a period of 60 days – until August 14 inclusive. The bail of 9.88 million hryvnia, which was previously paid for the head of the UAF, was transferred in favor of the state. On August 9, it became known that the money that was paid as bail for Pavelko by lawyer Svyatoslav Bolinsky had a Russian trace.
The UAF considers the entire process to be custom work from former association leaders. In 2018, the “Schemes” program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andrei Pavelko of corruption through a plant for the production of artificial fields.
