20 athletes from aggressor countries were allowed to participate in the world championship
Ukrainian Karate Federation will submit protest V International Karate Federation due to the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to World Cup 2023. To the world championship 20 athletes admitted from aggressor countries in a neutral status.
“As for the application itself, we will file a protest regarding the late submission of the application, in accordance with any consequences regarding the fact that they should not have been submitted. I don’t think this protest will be satisfied, but we will do it anyway. At competitions, we have fully developed behavioral tactics, we will adhere to them,” said the President of the Ukrainian Karate Federation Ivan Dutchak.
“We are now monitoring their involvement in the armed forces and security forces. We are collecting information, and if any facts are discovered, we will communicate with the World Karate Federation.”
Earlier, the composition of the Ukrainian national team for the 2023 World Karate Championship, which will be held in Budapest, became known. The world championship starts on October 24. The final matches begin on October 28.
