The Krivbass winger will play against his former team in the next round
Midfielder Krivbassa Maxim Zaderakapreviously recognized as the best football player of September in UPLspoke about his reaction to the award, as well as his preparation for the match with his former team – Metalhead 1925.
“I didn’t follow the vote [за лучшего игрока УПЛ в сентябре]. I found out from my friends. I was pleasantly surprised. I just want to thank my teammates. This is our common merit. I feel proud of our team, healthy working atmosphere and microclimate in the team.”
“From the match with Metalist 1925 I expect a very difficult fight. We will play against a technical team that plays well on the ball and plays control. In my opinion, Metalist 1925’s composition should be among the number of clubs that should compete for European competition. Kharkiv residents have incredible potential.”
“How did you spend the international break? Training, training and more training. On Saturday we played a two-way game. We got a workout to stay on our toes.”
Let us remind you that in a fan poll for the best UPL player in September, Zaderaka received 36.8% of the votes, ahead of Dynamo players Vladimir Brazhko and Nazar Voloshin, as well as LNZ forward Maxim Pryadun. Krivoy Rog coach Yuriy Vernidub was recognized as the best coach of the past month.
The 29-year-old Zaderaka has played 10 matches this season, scored three goals and provided two assists. Maxim spent the 2021/22 season, unfinished due to the full-scale Russian invasion, as part of Metalist 1925 – 12 matches, 1 assist.
Krivbass leads the UPL with 20 points. In the next match on October 20, Vernidub’s team will play against Metalist 1925, which occupies 11th place.
