The Internet portal Transfermarkt named in its telegram channel the composition of the national team among the most expensive players playing outside the 5 strongest leagues in the world (England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France).
The team included: goalkeeper Diogo Costa (Porto, €45 million); defenders David Hanko (Feyenoord, 30 million euros), Gonçalo Inácio (Sporting Lisbon, 30 million euros), Antonio Silva (Benfica, 45 million euros), Lutsarel Gertruyda (Feyenoord, 35 million euros) ; midfielders Sergei Milinkovic-Savic (Al-Hilal, 50 million euros), Fabinho (Al-Ittihad, 42 million euros), Marco Verratti (Al-Arabi, 40 million euros); the attackers Neymar (Al-Hilal, 60 million euros), Santiago Jimenez (Feyenoord, 40 million euros), Lionel Messi (Inter Miami, 35 million euros).
The total cost of the eleven-man squad was €452 million.
