Indonesia has dropped out of the fight to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup and has backed Saudi Arabia, reports Insidethegames.
In October, it was reported that the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) had sent a letter to the International Football Federation (FIFA) asking it to consider the kingdom’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup. It was also reported that Indonesia and Australia were considering submitting a joint bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
— Indonesia announced it was in talks with Australia, Malaysia and Singapore about a possible bid to host the tournament in 11 years. However, these plans were abandoned as the Indonesian Football Federation supported Saudi Arabia and is focusing on its bid to host the World Cup after 2034, Insidethegames reports.
