With a triumph over Cruzeiro at Mineirão, coach Tite made his debut in charge of Flamengo: “Be happy without fear of being happy”
The coach Tite celebrated the victory of Flamengo over the cruise, 2-0, in the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship. At a press conference, the red-and-black coach couldn’t contain his excitement for the result on his debut.
Enthusiastic, Tite commented on the “right to be happy” and highlighted his family’s happiness at starting work at the Rio club. The coach preached respect to the team led by Zé Ricardo.
“Pride and challenging work. It’s game by game. You can’t get away from it. If we keep projecting other situations, we will lose focus. It’s being happy without fear of being happy. It’s about being happy. Of course my family is happy. Of course my two grandchildren are happy,” commented.
“It’s not disrespectful to the opponent. It’s celebrating with us. It’s not enjoying other people’s pain. I admire Zé Ricardo. One thing is the dispute on the field. Another is the human things that transcend. I have a fondness for Ronaldo Fenômeno. But now I have the happiness of being at an extraordinary club that gives me the opportunity to work. The responsibility is a weight. But Im happy. It’s very difficult to beat Cruzeiro here. The tactical format changed, they demanded a lot from us”he completed.
With the victory, Flamengo reached 47 points and ended the round in G-4. The team takes the field next Sunday, against Vasco, for the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship. The coach will make his debut at Maracanã.
