The Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the 76th minute
Ukrainian midfielder Egor Yarmolyuk finally debuted in English Premier League. He came on as a substitute in a home match Brentford against Burnley at 76 minutes. The hosts won a landslide victory – 3:0.
Thus, 19-year-old Yarmolyuk became the 11th Ukrainian to play in the elite English division, after Alexander Yevtushka, Oleg Luzhny, Sergei Rebrov, Andrey Shevchenko, Andrey Voronin, Alexander Zinchenko, Andrey Yarmolenko, Vitaly Mykolenko, Mikhail Mudryk and Ilya Zabarny.
Before the reporting meeting, Brentford head coach Thomas Frank praised Yarmolyuk and said that the Ukrainian was ready to make his debut in the Premier League.
Brentford, with the help of Yarmolyuk, won only their second victory in the current championship (the first happened more than two months ago) and moved away from the relegation zone. Burnley are right there – 4 points, 18th place.
In the next round, Yarmolyuk’s team will play away against Mikhail Mudryk’s Chelsea.
