Mbappe strengthened his lead in the scorers’ race, Sobol again remained in reserve
PSG won a convincing victory at home against Strasbourg in the 9th round of the French League 1 – 3:0.
The scoring was opened already in the debut – Kylian Mbappe scored the eighth goal in his eighth championship match from the penalty spot. The visitors soon leveled but Lebo Mothiba’s goal was disallowed for offside. In the 31st minute, Mbappe added an assist to the goal – Carlos Soler scored.
The favorite finished off the underdog in the 77th minute. Now Soler acted as a carrier of shells, and his compatriot Fabian Ruiz scored a goal.
Ukrainian defender of the Alsatian club Eduard Sobol spent the entire match on the bench. He has not yet appeared on the field in official matches this season.
The victory allowed the Parisians to lead the standings at least temporarily. Strasbourg, having suffered a third defeat in a row, remains 12th.
Next Wednesday, October 25, Paris Saint-Germain will host Milan in the Champions League. On the 29th, Luis Enrique’s team will meet with Brest.
