Statements from Pisa coach Alberto Aquilani after the Nerazzurri’s win against Cittadella: “We played well for 80 minutes and knew the importance of this match. At times we showed a great game. There was no story, and it should have been closed at the end of the first half. After a wonderful double goal we dropped too low at the end and when that happened a lot of players came into our box. At that moment we took a risk. However, if we are aggressive, we can do what we want and we have demonstrated that. I wanted to see individuality, courage and desire. And they were. On the pitch the name doesn’t matter much, I’m happy with the performance of Lisandro Tramoni and Piccinini. I have full confidence in those who didn’t play and the answer I wanted today was the answer of a team that imposed and made decisions. This was all a long time ago, perhaps we could have used the ball even better. If we improve the quality in a simple game, we can achieve great results. Vignato and Valoti are strong players who have a lot to give us, it’s a matter of growth.
