Another fan was escorted out of the arena by stadium staff
Madrid winger Real Madrid Vinicius Junior commented on the scandal with manifestations of racism in the stands in Seville in the match (1:1) of the 10th round Examples.
“Congratulations to Sevilla for their quick reaction and punishment in yet another sad episode for Spanish football. Unfortunately, I have access to video of yet another racist act at Saturday’s game, this time by a child. What a pity that there is no one to raise her.”
“The face of today’s racist is reflected on websites, as in other cases. I hope the Spanish authorities will do their part and change the law once and for all. These people must also be criminally punished.”
Staff at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium identified and escorted out of the arena one fan who was making racist gestures towards the Brazilian. Sevilla said the fan was handed over to law enforcement and would be stripped of his club membership.
Earlier, Vinicius testified via videoconference to the Investigative Court No. 10 of Valencia regarding manifestations of racism in the match of the 35th round of the 2022/23 season. The Brazilian confirmed his words that he was subjected to racist abuse from Valencia fans during the match.
Real Madrid leads La Liga with 22 points. Blancos’ next match will be away to Braga in the Champions League on October 24.
