The coach of the winning team expressed dissatisfaction with the field, speed and technical aspects of his players’ play
Head coach Polesie Yuri Kalitvintsev commented on the big victory over Vorskla (3:0) in the 11th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“Victory is victory. I saw a lot of struggle on our side. We did a good job during the break. Physically, the guys are great. You need to work a lot on your technique.”
“The field was tough. I didn’t like the speeds. However, we played a clean sheet in defense, which is good,” the coach concluded.
Let us remind you that Polesie defeated Vorskla away, and Viktor Skripnik’s team missed the third goal in the minority.
Polesie is an absolute debutant in the UPL. Kalitvintsev was recognized as the best coach of the division twice in the season – based on the results of the fifth and tenth rounds.
Polesie has the third defense in the championship (8 conceded) after Dnepr-1 (5) and Kolos (7). Kalitvintsev’s team kept a clean sheet in six out of 11 UPL matches.
With 22 points, the Zhytomyr team is in second place in the Premier League standings. In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship, Polesie will play against Zorya on October 29.
