Alina supported Olga Kharlan’s championship success
Fencer Alina Polozyuk won another gold medal for Ukraine at the series tournament Satellite FIEwhich takes place in Turkish Istanbul.
In the women’s foil competition, the 21-year-old Ukrainian competed in six straight matches, winning each of them. In the final match, Polozyuk was stronger than Italian Marta Cammilletti with a score of 15:8.
For Alina, this gold is the first in her career at Satellite level tournaments. Earlier (also this season), Polozyuk managed to win a bronze medal at a competition in Timisoara, Romania.
Let us remind you that on October 21, a purely Ukrainian women’s final in saber fencing took place in Istanbul. Olga Kharlan opened the Olympic season with another “gold”; her compatriot Alina Komashchuk, accordingly, received a silver award.
